!LOGS
Please check your server log for errors from your plugins.
If you need further help understanding the errors, please send us the whole log file.
Where can I find the server log?
Logs are stored in
<server_directory>/logs/
. Search for a file explorer in your server's management interface and navigate to that directory. Once you've opened that up, search for the latest.log
file. Some providers have a separate page for logs and may hide the "logs" folder.
On Aternos:
ā¢ Go to https://aternos.org/log/.
On Minehut and server.pro:
ā¢ Go to the "files" tab in the left menu.
ā¢ Navigate to the root directory of your server.
ā¢ From there navigate to /logs/latest.log
.
What should I do with the log?
ā¢ First of all, read it! I mean, that's what you do all the time when you run a server, isn't it? Try to locate any errors that have anything to do with the issue you are facing.
ā¢ If you got the latest.log
file or created a .txt
file with the necessary errors you can upload these directly to the channel, but we prefer if you upload them to https://mclo.gs/.
ā¢ If you have trouble downloading the log file, copy/paste the text to a paste service (like mclogs). Copy the link that it gives you and send it to us. (Don't worry, McLogs hides your users' IPs.)Admincraft Canned Responses
do note tcpshield on a shared host isnt gonna do the most if other clients on the host gets attacked you get taken down aswell
We have uploaded your file to a paste service for better readability
Paste services are more mobile friendly and easier to read than just posting a file

Note: I am using a proxy
If I use velocity TCP Shield, do I put the plugin in the proxy server or game server? Further more, what do I need to setup in my DNS?
Considering I do not have a dedicated IP
are you using a proxy? (oops, wasnt scrolled down)
tcpshield shouldnt be on the backend
put it on the proxy
ok
Currently in my DNS I only have thecname TCP provided
What do I do?
the error you have here is that when you connect through the tcpshield protected domain?
Yes
means its working
Even though I cant connect at all anymore?
ah didnt see that
is that the entire message?
did you move tcpshield to proxy and follow the documentation?
I have not moved it to proxy yet
you need to do that
So its working now however it says "This server requires you to connect with velocity"
Which I assume is a DNS thing?
If I connect to my proxy directly using the numerical IP, it says "Cant connect to serveR"
nope not at all a dns thing
you shouldnt be trying to connect to backend
you should always join the proxy
can you give logs of the proxy?

Sorry didnt know if you were waiting for a ping
you didnt try and connect to the server in this report, or if you did check your backend ip settings on tcpshields site
Backend is my proxy IP?
yes
Its working!
Thank you!
How can I tell TCP shield is up and working?
Now its not working... omg!
"cant connect to server"
being able to connect means its up, its technically always on even if you cant join, as they cant find your ip (as easily) if they only have your domain connected to tcpshield
Ok good to know. I just cant join the server at all now lol
proxy is still running correct?
Correct
its working again
i hate everthing
