DNS records not propagating properly?
I'm not sure where the issue could be, so I'll just list the steps I took to get here:
I deployed an apache2 server and purchased a domain. I set up cloudflare, put my nameservers for my domain as cloudflares and put the apache server as dns records for my domain through cloudflare but for some reason, it will only ever load for some people and not for others and it makes 0 sense. It also only works on my pc if I'm using a vpn. I've flushed my dns cache, restarted my router, and tried a ton of different methods of fixing that i've found online, but nothing seems to work.
The domain is https://musicman.live
Thanks 😄

I should specify, I've checked the DNS propagation and everything seems normal, but I and others still cannot properly connect to the website, and/or the website will display but without any of the assets (just the index html)
Where is your domain meant to be pointing?
right now it looks like it's going to some Gandi holding page
yeah idk why its pointing to the holding page still, gandi is the registrar
but take a look at this
with a vpn on, it works flawlessly
vpn off, holding page
and then it shows the holding page for others too
it sounds like you probably have 2 DNS records and it's balancing between the two
Check your DNS records, do you have 2 entries not 1?
or maybe an AAAA that needs removing
ah i do, one is my servers ip and one is my domain registrar
yep there it is
remove the registrar one
done. will give it a few mins and let it update
it's loading for me now
ayyy hell yea works
really appreciatee the help 😄
no worries, glad it works!
