Bazzite 41 gamescope crashing

So, I’ve attempted to install bazzite-deck and bazzite-gnome-deck multiple times; every time I do, it fails to run gamescope. Even pressing “Return to Gaming Mode” fails to change sessions. The fact that Steam requires me to login every time I reboot tells me it’s an issue with gamescope crashing, but I don’t know how to fix it. For reference, I have included pictures of my rpm-ostree status and system info; I have also used export-gpu to set the used you to the dGPU

1. try ujust fix-reset-steam if that does not work then 2. remove your account from the steam login selector and re-add your account (i had to do this on my htpc just the other day while i was testing the intel arc b580)

There’s no Steam login selector

you either have to sign in, or select an existing account if it does not show existing accounts then ignore the 2nd thing to try

This is what shows up every time. Also, question. Are yall using gamescope or gamescope-session-plus?

You have a laptop with dual AMD GPUs there is a bug where gamescope fails to detect a display on specifical dual-AMD laptops there is no fix, you can rebase to an image without gamescope-session

Would it be possible to disable the iGPU

Ok, so funny story: I was able to disable my iGPU in my bios and gamescope worked

curious, we've had 3 other users that didn't work for glad to hear it

I think it depends on the internal connector set up and if the mux switch properly takes the iGPU completely out of the equation I had to do the same with my 7845hx/7900m laptop Sometimes the mux switch just changes the default and leaves the iGPU visible which I don’t think is good enough

I hope they patch that soon, would be nice if this just worked

Well someone should probably report it to drm/amd if they haven’t already. drm_info from TTY looked borked https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope/issues/1469#issuecomment-2366938293

Didn’t they send some frameworks to AMD people too second comment’s drm info looks different than the first though so hard to say what’s really going wrong
