Booting from an SD card

Hello! I've been planning on having bazzite on my micro SD for my Lenovo legion go but I read that having an OS on an SD card is a bad idea since it burns the SD card's lifetime quickly. But I read I could mount the stuff that's constantly written to in bazzite to the ram. But would this not use up a lot of ram (Since I plan on having bazzite to play games since windows uses up too much ram passively) And if not, then could I make this possible with this OS, or is what I'm trying to do simply madness?
Solution:
you can't boot from the microsd card on the legion go or rog ally

Not only do we not support running bazzite from an SD card. Most pc devices don't even support booting from a SD card. Also booting a PC system from an SD card is a nice way to speedrun the destruction of said SD card. And with speedrunning the destruction of it I mean literally you will kill it really fast maybe a month This is info easily available with a simple search 🙂

I knew that it'd speedrun the SD card's use, but that's why I am asking if it's possible to have some of bazzite mounted to ram so that it doesn't burn it within a month.
