Recently, screensaver will come on in gnome while playing a full-screen game with controller.

This wasn't happening for quite a while, but over the last few weeks, when playing a full-screen game with a controller, gnome will start fading out to the lock screen and I have to take a hand off the controller and wiggle the mouse to keep it from happening. I can't tell if this is a reccent bazzite change or something unrelated altogether. I am using desktop bazzite with gnome and nvidia. Thank you!

Note, I've tried searching around the forum to see if others were having this issue and asked in a few channels but didn't find any solutions.

I'd guess that it's the power saving settings. The controller probably isn't registring as user input for some reason and the powersettings are kicking in. Try setting the blank screen timeout to something bigger

The suggestions I found online were "Disable the screen blanking" but that feels more like a temporary work around than a solution.

could also be the automatic suspend

This was not a problem a couple of updates back but suddenly started happening a few weeks ago, as if something changed.

It's currently set to 15 minutes which seems like a decent desktop timing. But I play rocket league. A game lasts about 6 - 8 minutes. When you start a second game, at some point in the middle of the game, the screen starts fading out. If I change it to 30 mins, I just delay when this will inevitably happen during the game since I don't use keyboard or mouse input while playing it. 15 minutes is the longest option before "Never".
