Vietnam clothing store recommendations?

I know this is pretty far afield, but I'll be going to Vietnam with some family next month. Wondering if anyone has some brand or store recommendations to check out while I'm there. We'll be visiting both Hanoi and HCMC and a few places in between. Interested in any classic menswear or heritage stuff, and especially anything with interesting textiles. But open to checking out anywhere interesting really.

Bit of a tangent, but there's been a burgeoning mens classic footwear scene in Vietnam, Fugashin's Vietnamese branch being one of the most notable

If you're going to Hội An, that's your best bet for tailoring. Super dense area with tailors where you can get mtm suits or custom clothing with a few fittings in a couple of days for very reasonable prices. I have some shirts I want to take next time I'm there to get made in different fabrics. There are good tailors you can find in Sài Gòn and Hà Nội, but the density is not nearly the same Fashion in Vietnam is changing very quickly, noticeably within the last five years. Way more interesting things happening in women's fashion. Korean streetwear is probably the dominant driving influence I know the lady who founded this shoe company. I think they were stocked at Biker Shield Bistro in district 1 in HCMC (worth checking with them first), who also had a selection of some western brands on the second floor. Pretty well known brand locally https://motstore.vn/ Not what you're asking for but check out Cafe Slow as well. Good hub for local creatives in HCMC, great interpretation of modern vietnamese coffee, and pair with one of the best local bakers for their croissants and pastries

All great suggestions! We will be in Hoi An for a few days and I had my eye on the tailor shops there. Cafe Slow sounds great too!

Definitely try mi quảng while you are there - there are plenty of little stalls that serve it, but it's the dish to get in my opinion. There's a great bánh mì stall in the central food market as well that is quite famous
