just looking at the current site, its giving loro piana but somehow more expensive and more boring
like this is just a jacket
but you can get something so close for not $8000, unless theres currency thing im missing
yeah i agree
i wasn't gonna afford it at that pricing anyway but was wondering if theres something inherently there
but loro is still best bet
my point was more that they are both overpriced and boring but close
If you have that much money to blow prolly go with SLP or Celine for something a lil more interesting
And more contemporary feeling
noo makes sense i dont have that to blow at all either way haha
i was mostly intrested because i saw some deals from consignment and online sometimes and wondred if it was worth it
if its for a good deal it could be for sure, retail loro and stuff is just super pricy, but to me you could be getting much cooler stuff for that money.
i think they're maybe leaning on the "made in italy of the finest fabrics world-wide" bit to attract people who would be swayed by that to ignore price
I think consignment Brunello and LP is a good buy if you want nice but basic shit
yeah that was my guess
But buying it retail is 100% not worth
they speak a lot of their heritage for being only in existence since 1972
I've found Brunello cardigans and sweaters for $300 or so
yup agreed for sure and fwiw its hard to find some more intresting/ fun stuff always
you guys are awesome haha
I think Zegna is at a lower price point retail but feels nice enough tbh
yeah and u see lots of it at consignment or second hand
anyway like...it's aight but there's brands that do this for less at secondhand or consignment
I'm sure others here could tell you some good cashmere brands outside of those three if you're looking for a deal and don't care about the label
yup like william lockie or inis maen or johnston and somthing
i'm also leary of brands that try to go big tent with making shoes and home goods and such
i had no clue they even did that hahah thats kind of bad
especially touting a small workforce made in italy
unless its like japanese outdoors stuff maybe
You could just buy vintage Giorgio Armani, its generally cheap enough for how well constructed it is
Snow Peak Moment
haha exactly
my point being these are both very high end suits someone were looking to spend big money, left is YSL right is loro imo easy pic
i was about to type them quite literally
dooood wow ysl looks so much more intresting and better
those pleats
yeah my point was if people want to drop crazy money on stuff, theres cooler shit out there than loro piana
"better" is a subjective quality but i would buy either of those before stefano ricci
if you know what you're looking for (be it cashmere sweaters or something else), make another thread with your budget and location and you'll get some recommendations
hahhaa definetely
ok yeah definetely might make another one
