Open RGB is not applying saved theme on startup

Hi everyone I am new to Bazzite and have Open RGB installed, it is the appimage version that comes included on the bazzite welcome tool, not the flatpak version from discover. I have the app set to auto-start, both within Open Rgb, and in the auto-start menu within Bazzite settings. I have tried selecting the option to load theme automatically within Open RGB, and without. The application loads on startup and gives me a message regarding my motherboards zones, that i don't really know the answer to so i just click ignore. The theme that i selected to load on startup does not take effect and i still have to apply it manually to get the RGB to come on. Does anyone know what's happening with it, and can provide the soultion to get it all to work properly? Many thanks in advance.
