Jeans fit check: straight fit isn't completely "straight"?
I found this straight fit high-waisted jeans which I fell in love with, and it fits me perfectly in the waist, seat and thigh. I also really like the length both cuffed and uncuffed (see photo's). However, when I compared the model photo's of this straight fit with my own fit; one thing just bugs me. The fabric from the knee down just doesn't drape as nicely as I'd like it to (photo 5; green straight line down the leg in the model photo, and 'bend' in my jeans).
Is this something posture related, or something that could be fixed at a tailor? What could be the problem here? I would really love to have it look more like a straight fit in the sense that the jean leg falls uninterrupted down the leg.
Thank you!

It does look like they taper slightly but some of the drape should improve with wear
The models pair looks bigger than yours. Could be you need to size up, could be you have wider legs than the model, or it could be nothing like ler said.
Also bear in mind that in product model photos they will likely be pressed to perfection and probably pinned out of sight to make them as photogenically perfect as possible
They’re good if you want slim fit jeans
But if I saw you wearing these I would describe them as slim fit not straight
I think they look great regardless
Over time jeans will usually develop creases and stuff on the back of the knee
It’s nothing to stress about
The model photos also look very subtly tapered to me.
