Server
So my question is I'm trying to start my own server with some friends and slowly but surely make it public. I've seen that I got 16GB of RAM but I saw that although RAM plays a role in server hosting CPU is what's holding the whole thing. So my first question is what should I buy to be safe for server hosting and 2 it's going to have factions and other things in it but it's going to be like an island what's a good block count to put down? Like 10k x 10k or 8k x 8k

the higher single core performance the better
i run a survival server with some plugins with 8gbs of ram and its fine
and dont forget to pregen the map
I'll try my best on that cause in this project I'm all on my own so I gotta learn how to use WorldEdit, Axiom then search for a server hosting site to start and so on
