Throne and Liberty EAC Error
What I'm trying to do:
I am trying to play Throne and Liberty from the desktop using Steam.
What is happening instead:
The EAC loading screen appears and displays "Launch Error / Unexpected Error. (#1) / Exit"
What I've tried so far:
- Tried switching to Proton Experimental
- Tried switching to GE-Proton-9.21
- Tried installing Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime
- Tried setting launch options for T&L to "PROTON_USE_EAC_LINUX=1 %command%"
- Tried setting launch options for Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime to "install 58dec5a58e8f4ce6beca223311f65b4c"
- Tried verifying game files and recreating the prefix folder under compatdata for T&L
- Tried rebooting
Other information:
- I am using the bazzite-deck-gnome image.
- This is a fresh install that I just did the other night.
- I have a good number of other games (including a couple that also use EAC) running without any issues, but this one won't get past EAC during launch.
- I have reverted all changes made so far while attempting to get this working. Any troubleshooting should assume a fairly clean slate.
- Many folks on ProtonDB and Steam Community indicate they have the game running without any issues or with minor tweaks. AreWeAntiCheatYet just shows that game as "running" but no other notes. I have no reason to believe I am trying to do something that isn't possible.
