Nameserver update with authorization code from registrar?

I am moving my domain to cloudflare. Now only nameserver update is remaining. However my registrar doesn't' allow me to just add the cloudflare nameservers. Their method is to issue an authorization id, that I am supposed to "give" to cloudflare and then they will be able to update the nameservers that way. Does Cloudflare support this nameserver update method?
