Steam deck shows black screen after going to desktop mode
I installed bazzite a week ago and I was using the steam deck on desktop mode on the tv and then later when it was low on charge and it turned off it wasn’t booting (ofc it wouldn’t) but then I charged it and bam it’s back to life after that I tried going to into desktop mode and it was on black screen. Later, I have put the steam deck on desktop mode on my moniter and then it was working. Fast forward to today, now it’s not working at all not on deck mode nor on desktop mode. Is there a way to solve it other than deleting the content on kscreen?

Assuming that you are on KDE. I suspect that steam is crashing on boot. Try attach an external Keyboard and and press CTRL+ALT+F2 and see if you get a terminal display. If you do log in with your user name and password and then run
startplasma and see if you can get into desktop. If you can get into desktop run ujust fix-reset-steam in the terminal and this will re-install steam but keep your games intactBtw do I have to be on desktop mode??
Or gaming mode?
You should be able to use that key combination if you are in game mode or desktop mode. And you can sometimes get into it even if you end up with a blank screen

startplasma and got into the desktop but it’s still a blackscreen

Umm I’d like to announce that it doesn’t work
I’ll reflash and downgrade to bazzite 40You could try this before you reflash
rm ~/.config/kwin* (when you are in that terminal mode) it will remove your kde screen settings.umm I reinstalled bazzite 😭
