Fit check on overcoat and recommendation
I bought a new coat that I think fits me width and length wise, but the sleeves are too long. Do you guys think it fits me well apart from the sleeves? Secondly, is it possible to get the sleeves hemmed? Thanks!

Yeah as far as I can tell from this it seems to fit pretty well. Sleeves can be shortened in two ways: at the wrist or at the shoulder. It seems like this coat doesn't have any buttons or other details at the sleeves so it can be altered there and should be an easy job for the tailor!
oh I'm sorry I forgot to include the 3rd pic!
It does have some buttons on the sleeves.. so I guess the only way to shorten them is through the shoulders?
Including some better pics since the quality of the first 2 was bad!
Well, they can still do it on the sleeves but you'll probably lose the buttons
So it's up to you what you find important. Sleeve is usually cheaper but if you shorten it from the shoulders you can keep the buttons
I see. I'll check the price for both. I don't mind the buttons too much. And I guess it shouldn't be too hard to add my own buttons? That would be kind of a cool way to personalize the coat
no it's much harder than it looks
For my coat, my tailor shortened the sleeves from the bottom, then added a new vent and put the buttons back
I see. I'll check with my tailor. Thanks!
