I get incredibly tilted on deathmatch especially while trying to improve
I come from thousands of hours of Apex but that skill does not carry over a single bit to this game. Started this game a few weeks ago.
I am in bronze rn (was placed silver at lvl 20). I want to play a lot of DM to improve my gun play but I get SO FUCKING mad playing it when I dont do well. Like if I as a bronze fucking dumbass get matched with 10 people who 1tap me within milliseconds of seeing me. Every single death makes me rage more to the point of not being able to play the game properly anymore.
How tf am I able to improve my headshot aim skills if the only single way I can do anything against those people is just spray because I have NO FUCKING TIME AT ALL to aim or even move. Those fucking idiots 1 tap me instantly no matter what tf I do.
Yea theres probably no way to fix this but idk. Fuck this game and its braindead fucking matchmaking.

If you peek while being too close to the wall, they see your even before you get a chance to see them

And when you peek, do you clear each corner or do you just run in the open and then look for enemies
lol I try to clear each corner
apex is a "high" ttk (time to kill) whilst valorant relies more on crosshair placement and is low ttk, so basically practice in deathmatches for 1/2 bullets kills (this is in my opinion idk how you play)
i legit cant even train hitting heads bc i get RAILED from FIVE SIDES by FAT HAIRY MEN within NANOSECONDS of appearing on their ugly ass screen
For me I'll camp in the teleporter to get kills easy warm up I'm iron 1

they stay wherever they want and 1tap me from anywhere

U have no idea how to actually clear angles, u don't pre aim common angles, u ads a bit too much, u don't know how to hold angles consistently

itβs normal and in my opinion deathmatch is a really bad way to improve if you wanna CHILL. when iβm listening to music i for sure go to the range. deathmatch is either low elo players running into your crosshair or the next dm you get only high people that play for every sound cue and if you do not play for sound cue / try hard in deathmatch its almost impossible to win vs good players when you have music on. i prefer the range all day long which many radiants/pros do aswell but many pros also just play dm (mostly with very quiet or no music)
like basically the reason you get 1 tapped is because people are listening for your steps and waiting for your peek which is really hard to react to and it doesnβt take skill
can u improve a lot in the range tho
like id think between playing actual games against real people and aim training the range would be the worst of them all
i cant even hit like every 2nd shot even if i know an enemy is coming around a corner lol
its kind of tragic, ik this doesnt mean anything really but going by the Voltaic Valorant Benchmark my aim at least should be at least gold level but still stuck bronze xD
ima try the woohoojin voltaic aimlabs training routine
since the stuff ive been doing so far is just meant to be a benchmark
i swear once i get the skins i want ill be an aim god trust
what I found is that :
* you donβt take more time to clear angles
* when you get one tapped, itβs because the enemy looks at the minimap : red patches means that thereβs an enemy
* if you want to aim train, play micro adjustments (or look whatβs bad in your benchmark)
* sometimes spray on mid-range fights
* shaky aim (fix through regen target switch/tracking + playing static scenarios with 98-100% acc, without rushing shots)
what I found good :
* you often swing angles with one key (left or right)
* you stop before shooting and try to incorporate strafing
