@junimo the pc doesn't support tpm 2.0 but 1.2 is enabled. Secure boot is also enabled.
U can't do anything on ur side
hmm
Also the pc can't be updated to TPM 2.0 (just tried it)
when i try to update TPM 2.0 it just shuts down my computer
Yea that means u can't update
hold on I do see players with i5 6500T with tpm2.0 enabled
After looking more into this, i still can't find a definite answer if the pc can be updated to TPM 2.0 or not
My best guess would be that u actually need to set an administrator bios password
Then try the update again
But make 100% sure that u don't forget the bios password that u set
U will always need it
msinfo32 says it's a ThinkCentre M900, but the update tool is for M910
I wonder if they just didn't make one for M900
it's really hard for the anticheat code to account for all the different vendor system configurations, I was hoping it was just a cpu that didn't support PTT but I believe 6500T does
Windows processor requirements Windows 11 supported Intel processors
This specification details the Intel processors that can be used with Windows 11 customer systems that include Windows products, including custom images.
It isn't in the list tho
Hasn't it always been 8th gen and above intel cpu supports tpm 2.0
With a few exceptions
Along with the celeron chips
the windows 11 list is mostly for cpus that implemented MBEC/GMET
without MBEC the system would be too slow under HVCI and makes win11 unusable
Tbh i don't see anywhere that a 6th gen i5 supports tpm 2.0, more specifically the 6500T
I see a decent number of players on 6500T already with tpm2.0 enabled
my guess is lenovo just never provided a bios update to enable PTT for M900
but I can't just allow all 6500T to run without tpm2.0, because cheaters 100% would abuse it and buy 6500T to cheat
Don't prebuilds by lenovo, dell and hp come with a seperate tpm chip that can be updated and actually doesn't have anything to do with the actual cpu?
Or is the tpm still running through the cpu and they update it somehow
Cuz i am pretty sure the tpm chips here are seperate from the cpu and in their own slot on the motherboards
yeah you are right, some machines with 6500T come with discrete TPM as well
but those that don't still have firmware TPM2 built into the chip
and it's up to the vendors to provide bios update to enable this feature
so
am i fucked or what
I'd ask lenovo for help with enabling tpm2.0 on your machine or add a discrete tpm module to your motherboard if that's possible
