Boot size 2nd opinion
I bought a pair of Grant Stone Brass boots in size 8, 0.5 down from my Brannock size of 8.5. Although there's not much heel slip, there's a significant amount of space between my toe and the tip of the inside of the boot (at least 0.5 inch). I contacted GS with pictures and they said the sizing looks good but I have room to go down 1/2 size (but might be a bit snug). Should I bother sizing down? I've attached some pictures showing where the ball of my foot is while wearing the boots and a pic showing the space between my heel and heel counter when my foot is at the tip of the boot.

if theres not heel slip and they are comfortable, keep them
if the space at the front isnt a concern
if they are not comfortable
try new size
I wouldn’t size down
Boots generally have more space in front of the toe
thanks guys, I'll keep them
Can't speak for the Brass Boot, but when I got my pair of diesels from GS, I went with my usual half size down from Bannock (9) to 8.5 and was swimming in them, sized down to 8 and was pleased. But the last and fit are obviously different between the two, so YMMV.
