Do these shoes make sense with the pattern of the sports coat
I have a sports coat with that pattern, I plan on wearing it with a cream (off white) shirt with dark blue jeans. I'm trying to go for a smart casual look. But I'm not sure what shoes to go with. I was able to find this, but I don't know if the style makes sense.

Absent seeing the actual sport coat and jeans on you these shoes seem likely to be a not great idea.
As in the styles don't make sense ?
They don't
as an alternative I was thinking about picking up some Chelsea Boots in like a dark brown
Yeah that would probably work
hey if you don't mind can you share your though process on why it doesn't match ?
Sure, the shoes are like a weird amalgamation of hiking shoes and basketball sneakers, neither of which would make sense with a sports coat considering you are likely not going to go hiking or play basketball while wearing one.
😆 now that you say it I can see it
To give you credit, though, some aspects of that shoe seem right on for that blazer: brown, leather, casual. But I agree that particular casual brown leather shoe doesn't work.
A safe choice would be a derby or a loafer. I wear both with dark jeans and a blazer all the time.
