Fatal error in Bazzite installer: input/output error 4 pulling runtime
I'm trying to install bazzite on my gaming rig (i5-12400f on a b660m-a d4 motherboard from Asus) but I keep getting a fatal error that halts the installation, saying:
Failed to install Flatpaks: flatpak-error-quark: Aborted due to failure (While pulling runtime/org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default/x86_64/24.08 from remote Anaconda: Writing content object: Error reading from file descriptor: Input/Output error) (4)
I'm using the bazzite nvidia open ISO off of a Ventoy bootable USB drive, and I manually formatted my partitions to work with a dual boot of Windows 11 of which is already installed on my NVME drive. Any ideas as to what I can do now?

for context, i followed this youtube video to figure out how to partition my disk so that windows 11 and bazzite could exist on the same drive: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=to6FLhn0NOM&t=368s&pp=2AHwApACAQ%3D%3D

Valve said that Dual boot would be an option on the Steam Deck, but it's been 2 years and there's nothing official yet. Let's set up Bazzite and Windows on a 512GB SSD!

I doubt its a problem with my drive or anything because the other flatpaks do their thing just fine
Very late, but I also ran into the same issue. I eventually got it working by redownloading the ISO and using Fedora Media Writer.
If you are still trying, perhaps you could try to isolate the issue by changing one variable unlike me who was impatient
Corrupt ISO. its failing to read something off the USB
redo the ISO
Thanks, yeah I redownloaded it and it worked today
