Lots of companies advise dry clean only because it’s a safe way to clean. Washing in a normal a machine can cause the fabric to fade or embroidery to change or shrinking and so on
It’s up to you whether you trust it or not. I would probably just hand wash and let it dry flat rather than bringing it to a dry cleaner but I’m no professional
I dont think I can trust a drycleaner with any of my clothes 😔
These seem like very intense washing instructions for a cotton jacket. It may be with the intention to preserve the dyes or embroidery but i cant see why a hand wash and line dry would hurt it
Some brands are overly cautious with their care instructions; as far as I know they often say dry clean only to absolve themselves of any responsibility if you do wash it and something goes wrong. However, modern washing machines have several different options for delicate items, mostly by lowering the temperature and the spin cycle.
why lol
I also never machine wash. Hand washing easily helps me keep my sanity
Also dry cleaner never take the responsibility for the clothes ruined here. At most they will return some amount only
I take my dry clean only clothes and they do a good job although I did go to one place and my jacket somehow shrunk and didnt fit. I think the guy just threw it in the washing machine. these instructions on your jacket are probably just to prevent them from fading but yeah I dont see how a hand wash would be problematic especially if you do it just once
