USB devices crashing (xhci not responding - somehow related to steam)
Hi,
I installed bazzite-gnome a few days ago (amd version, 7800xtx, 7800x3d, lshw output attached), but I have a bug that all my usb devices die. I have some device plugged into an powered usb hub, and some directly to the mainboard, both devices die.
At this point I'm kind of sure that it is somehow related to Steam, as I never experienced it without steam running. But it does not happen every time, so Im confused
First I thought it was related to steam playing sound,as I saw some pipewire stuff in journalctl, and it always happened when steam showed notifications and played a sound, but I'm not so sure about that anymore. The pipewire stuff was just because my usb died and it could not find the usb soundcard anymore.
Also, I muted every steam notification sound and I still experienced it a few moments ago, and I dont think steam played any sound this time.
I attached the complete journalctl output(crash.txt), but the crash was around ~04 Dez 10:14 - 10:15. I think the interesting stuff is this:
Dez 04 10:14:49 bazzite.fritz.box kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:12:00.4: xHCI host not responding to stop endpoint command
Dez 04 10:14:49 bazzite.fritz.box kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:12:00.4: xHCI host controller not responding, assume dead
Dez 04 10:14:49 bazzite.fritz.box kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:12:00.4: HC died; cleaning up
I was on an arch based distro before, where I also had steam running (just installed with the package manager) and I did not experience this problem there. Over the time I had multiple kernels, I think I also had 6.11.9 at one point (which is currently in bazzite), but I'm not 100% sure.
I dont know how to proceed, any help is appreciated - thanks!
