Could these sneakers go well with suit pants?

I've been looking for some sneakers to wear to the office.

Would your office allow it? but regardless, these would almost certainly not work with suit pants. The key to sneaker+suit pants is 1. Sneakers that obviously aren't formal and don't pretend to be and 2. Suit pants on the casual side

Yes, my office would allow it. I am looking for some very discreet sneakers. The ones that don't pretend to be tend to be too scandalous for my taste. Also what exactly would be an example of suit pants on the casual side? I am really going for a casual look here - i just dont want to be using jeans.

If you want discreet, a casual leather shoe like the Clarks wallabee might be a better choice for you. To be very pedantic, a suit is matching pants + jacket cut from the same roll of fabric. If your pants are separates, they are dress pants or just trousers. For me, a more casual trouser uses a more casual looking fabric, I'll post examples in a second If you want "casual but not jeans", cotton chinos are a good option

Very formal pants with very casual duck boots on the left, vs. more casual pants with a more "discreet" sneaker

Can I ask why you want sneakers? Is it comfort driven or is there something about dressier shoes you don't like?

I am 25 years old and here in Brazil, basically no one under 40 uses leather shoes, even at the office. I want to be able to dress something my age but still pass seriousness. I have a problem of looking too nerdy which i want to avoid. All while being casual, as offices here in Brazil are more casual than in the US, as a rule of thumb.

Can you share photos of either the types of things people wear or the styles you're interested in for office wear? Business casual/ casual office attire are nebulous terms and some pictures would go a long way towards making sure we're all talking about the same thing here The feedback you got above is all accurate but I'm not positive we are even talking about the same things here with regards to "suit pants"

I want to be able to pair pants like these with discreet sneakers, so i my best idea has been some all black sneakers without toe caps, and without big branding like vans

I really, really don't think these pants will work with the sneakers you posted

My two cents are the none of these would look better with sneakers Loafers here are fine. Are you open to getting a pair of loafers? If you want sneakers, try a different pair with a chino instead of a dress pant There are very few sneakers that try to look dressy and do it well. A more intentionally casual one would be better

Vans authentics really don't have much branding. Also seconding chino pants.

Thanks for the advice, i agree with what was said. I will have to find something else to use with these dress pants. Something that doesn't make me look neither nerdy nor like someone who is trying too hard.

You have a few options. The consensus here is not to wear sneakers with dress pants (with rare exceptions that are almost not worth discussing). Sneakers that are trying to look like dress shoes will come off off as trying too hard My recommendation (if you genuinely want it) is to wear loafers with them. Probably hundreds of millions of people wear loafers, and they can be worn very casually (with jeans, with a t shirt) and are not too serious or nerdy. They are just shoes that tons of people wear. Loafers are great. Simple derbys are a second option. If you are just concerned about fitting in, you can simply look at what other folks are wearing and find something similar. You won't get the approval of us internet strangers but that's okay. (Almost) no one here will tell you that buying those shoes is a good idea but you don't have to live with all of us in your day to day life And what I would recommend most - take the time to find styles that you actually like and develop your own style. Look through #waywt for things you may like, ask questions, ask for feedback. It is cool to have your own opinion on the clothes you wear and develop your own taste Most of my coworkers dress like shit. I do modify what I wear slightly around them to be more conservative, but we don't dress similarly at all. And that is okay

I think a good in between for your situation is suede loafers They are more casual than regular leather loafers but a step up from sneakers
