Weirdly enough this mostly happens around midnight, but it does happen every night.

Make sure you updated the game before launching SMM. If your game is up to date, you have both U8 and 1.0 installed in the same folder at once, and SMM is detecting the U8 version.
To fix this, uninstall the game, delete the game install dir if it still exists (this is NOT the AppData folder, but the location where you installed the game), then reinstall the game, and reopen SMM.
If reinstalling the game takes too long for you, a quicker fix is to delete the
<game install dir>\Engine\Binaries\Win64\FactoryGame-Win64-Shipping.version
file, though this is not meant to be a permanent solution, as having the game installed twice in the same directory can cause issues later.Key Details for SMMDebug-2024-11-30-09-22-59.zip

Please force the use of DirectX11 with your game by adding the -d3d11 argument to your game
Doing what Fred says, will keep Thread open until i had some time to evaluate the new install OR the crash reoccurs ^^
other problem and i think i already know the answer myself but lets see if Fred knows something

that message is weird
maybe someone can explain this? i uninstalled the game, deleted the folder AND installed the game into a new folder
Epic allows you to install BOTH the early access version and experimental at the same time in separate folders - Did you get both (if both were installed)
"E:\Epic Games\SatisfactoryDS"}
"E:\Epic Games\SatisfactoryEarlyAccess"}
in your caSE
there is no folder with the name "Satisfactory" anywhere other than the new install location
what i do have though is 2 "unknown" installs detected by SMM
(can't make a screenshot right now while the game is running) when i open the "Select Game Installation" there are 3 options, 2 of which are "unknown" with a warning icon
yea those are the 2 unknowns i think, dunno how to get rid of them in SMM
try the manage servers section
i'll be damned that it detected Early Access as a server xD
the dedicated server makes sense

whelp
oh wait, i didn't reopen SMM after deleting those 2 from the servers thing
yeah still showing in the log
what i had was the dedicated server still with an old version, which caused version validation errors even when i had the game itself selected in the dropdown
after uninstalling that, the validation worked, and everything works fine now anyway for the moment, just the weird thing with Fred ^^

oh well it's a non-issue for now that it's still in the logs somehow
and i don't care enough until it causes issues
thanks for the help anyway, at least the "unknown"s are gone ^^
its working otherwise?
other than the old crash i had before around every midnight, which needs another night to confirm or deny if it is solved
any extra manifest files in directory?
i wouldn't know what "extra" was, but either way, thanks again, and if something happens in around 10 hours i will check this thread again with a new debug file ^^
sure thing, would reccomend verifying your epic install too, juat in case
