how to enable ONLY dGPU (not "hybrid mode")
hello, i use both mint and fedora.
-in mint i can choose between Just nvidia gpu(dGPU) hybrid (dGPU+iGPU depending on workload) or just intel gpu(iGPU)
-but on bazzite the supergfx options only shows hybrid and iGPU but doesnt show the only Nvidia gpu
how can i fix this?

Your dGPU is automatically selected by switcheroo
i dont understand? could you explain
i have only "Hybrid" and "integrated option" available in the supergfx taskbar thing
its currently in hybrid mode and says "dGPU power: suspended"
what i want is that i dont dGPU to ever be suspended. i want it dGPU only
basicly what im asking is to disable iGPU and only use dGPU
and i know its possible to do within my hardware and within linux, i can do this in linux mint
This a laptop?
yes
with nvidia rtx 3070 TI and intel iGPU
For battery life reasons you're better staying in hybrid mode, like I said switcheroo will automatically use your DGPU for any game you launch
You're not going to use the IGPU unless you explicitly request it
You can confirm this behavior via
switcherooctl list
i often found forcing dGPU was more stable without any jittering or random bugs happening between changing tasks that happens when hybrid mode is used
besides i use bazzite when only plugged in and my laptop disables power to battery when fully so it basicly turns into a powerstation so battery life isnt a problem
hmmm "supergfxctl -s" only shows these options [integrated, Hybrid]. why does it not have a dedicated option 🤔
because your laptop has no mux switch
the igpu cannot be disabled completely without one, so you are forced to use either the igpu only, or both
or maybe it does have a mux switch, what model laptop is it?
