If you activate the Debug grip profile, does it show the toggling data in the debug tab?
Can you try enabling the 5V SPI Clock checkbox?
I'll check up on this tomorrow
This?
yep
ok did the 5v
raw btn shows flashing
Hmm, you can try reverting to the last working firmware, was it b7 before?
I'll try it If I can get Windows defender to let me download it
ugh, it's a bit too trigger happy
I don't see any options to bypass it in Edge... maybe I'll have to turn it off in windows if it'lll even let me
Turning off realtime protection should do it
not sure where to turn that off, still looking
ok got it
yeah, just run flash.bat and it should upload it
downloaded. Realtime protection was in settings'
invalid dfu sig a problem?
guess not
How's the buttons?
damn. Paddle still flashing. Everything else appears ok at first glance
grip and extension get BT power from base and that should be it, though I'd prefer to get the grip set up as a profile in VPFC so I can delete the BT device
can you try setting Grip profile to shift register board?
Any difference?
no
flash freq maybe slower a little bit, but stil on/off
ahh, bummer. I'll have to sign off for today
understood. I appreciate your efforts. For now I'll use one of the pinky switch hat directions as the "paddle"
@walmis any progress? Only thing new I can tell you is that it seems all RS buttons are affected, not just that paddle.
To rule out any additional variables - do you use some kind of extenstion ir is it tested directly?
Other grips work fine? (if you have any)
I believe other grips were fine but standby and I'll check. I have some Virpil grips and a Virpil extension I can check. The only extension I tried with RS was the RS Hornet one with paddle.
The glitches happen with a direct connection, right?
They happen both through the VPF software and through the BT connection on the RS grips.
not getting button glitches with VFX grip
no issue with VPC 200mm extension either
left the VPF profile as "VFX" and hooked the RS F18 grip up to the 200mm extension and get flashing buttons
in particular, the sensor control switch hat left. Through the VPF connection it flashes. Through the BT connection it doesn't seem to at the moment
So, in conclusion, RS buttons all flash under the VPF connection, but the only one that flashes under BT is the paddle.
And this is the same with both states?
didn't check that, standby
I have the grip profile now as VPForce shift register
yes, it's the same for both states of that 5V switch
And now with Generic grip 64but ?
yes, same with Generic grip 64
using powered USB hub
You can try downgrading to v1.0.16 firmware https://vpforcecontrols.com/usb/rhino/#force=ffb-rhino_v1.0.16.bin
That will exclude at least any recent changes.
Otherwise I'm out of ideas
was about to click download then remembered defender
nah, this will be via the WebUSB page
oh
stil says 17?
I updated to this and still get the flashing, but it still reports as v17b12
Oh it probably has cached page. Try ctrl-F5 to refresh. It should say v1.0.7
@walmis was doing Thanksgiving dinner gatherings. Just got a chance to load v16. Had to also load a v16 of VPFC. I still get flashing buttons through the VPF connection and not through BT (except the paddle, which still flashes in BT)
My only thought at this point is it's some kind of voltage issue
FYI, don't know if this is an issue, but sometimes the stick base shakes on it's on when a game isn't running...
