Fit Check
Do these look bad? After a long time I found decent fitting jeans... The waist isn't too tight nor loose, i can wear them without wearing a belt and the same goes for the other part.. on top of that it has 6% elastane ( i know it's bad but the jeans might stretch a bit later on) for a reference... These are taper fit and I've also attached a pair of 511 (second image).... But these are more comfortable than 511 maybe because of the slightly longer rise?

Levi mentioned 32 inseam on the other hand... Lindbergh 33 but they fit better..
Regarding the size, they are 30 and next available size is 32 which might be too big in the waist
The levi's look better, the first pair is probably more comfortable because of all that elastane. But you can see the fabric pulling in the top block which indicates that they're (way) too tight. The levi's also have some pulling but they look like they fit better.
In general straighter cuts in a bigger waist size will be more comfortable and they are also in style right now so if comfort is important to you I would at least size up on the levi's and possibly try a few non-tapered cuts to see how they feel if you're comfortable with that. Also: belts are good.
Levis look better.
Way too tight? Then i guess i should return them?
If you can I would
I'd... I was aiming for a similar look but ended up with a different look... If only Levi's size consistency was good then they'd have been a great option....
Or maybe if I lose a little bit of weight then my 511 will give me a similar silhouette.
It's hard to tell from that particular picture but that looks like a slim straight cut to me rather than tapered
They look like 514 which i never tried because it's not available
At this point, Levi repro brands probably have more consistent sizing than Levis at this point.
If you are looking at the 514 you might as well order it online or try to get it secondhand. Heck, a nearby thrift store might have a pair you could try on. At this point I trust size charts more than what the description tells me.
Having a small waist can be problematic.... Measurements are what the cut is supposed to be but due to quality control.... It can be off but still it gives an idea... Like some brands a slim cut is more like a straight cut...
Idgi, wouldn’t that make the size chart even more important then? At a minimum, if you find a pair of jeans that fit how you like, you could take the measurements of the waist, thigh, knee opening, and hem and get a good idea of the fit over the descriptors that brands use. Even levis has been so inconsistent that some japanese brands like TCB will reference the year they’re basing their Levi’s repro from.
Fwiw dude lives in India he has local market issues relating to import costs etc.
I mean if the size 30 is supposed to have a 32 inch waist and the chart says 32 but in reality it can be 33 or 34... ( Not always but it happens) Unfortunately quality control is meh in india whether it's clothing or something else.... But I've found that the Levi's big E tab has pretty accurate measurements...
Yeah bro 40% import duties
Btw thanks a lot to everyone who has helped me! I'm getting closer and closer... If something doesn't fit then it doesn't...
Look at these... I know that it's not a good comparison but the thing is that they are 511 chinos and the fit is really good and that's what i like.... Even an 1/2 inch can make a difference...
Ah my apologies OP, much more understandable
No worries, you were just helping me out..... If import duties weren't that high then I'd have simply ordered Levi's from the EU/USA store because of the size availability.... They offer all the size 28/29/30 unlike us where we get 30/32/34 etc with a fixed inseam length.
Hmmmm I guess now that I am aware of it, by chance are there any local options for denim?
Like Indian brands?
Honestly I'm finally thinking of trying Gap... Their jeans look clean on top of that they have too many options in 100% cotton composition+ various fits... unfortunately they closed their store a few years ago that's why they are only available online... Or maybe in the reliance store.
