How are you trying to install? I assume a USB?
If it is a USB and you didn't try this already, try Fedora Media Writer to make the bootable USB. It seems like you're having a different error than me, so I don't know if this will fix it like it did for me, but I think it'd at least be worth a shot
yes
i'm trying it right now with Fedora Atomic Desktop
and its not moving(installation bar)
been stuck at installing software now for 30min now
Not sure then. Once I tried it with Fedora Media Writer instead of Rufus, I had no problem
done what you said
i give up.
Yeah, this needs someone more experienced with this than me
yeah, if you can't install standard fedora something is very wrong
beyond what we can realistically help with
like hardware level wrong
input/output error in most cases indicate that something is seriously wrong with your hardware/storage
its funny because i installed windows and opensuse tw on it, used it for about 10 hours, and then left it and havent touched it in a year+
its crucial p3 plus 4tb, its basically new since i havent really touched my gpd that much
i said in most cases
i really hate the idea but nuking it with gparted and starting new can help?
(i really don't want to mess with windows again)
its something i would have tried, wipe the partition table and just make a new one. fixed some sdcards that way before
it was hell but i managed to install it
i nuked the drive, so dual boot is not an option..
i have issues with installing stuff from https://github.com/aarron-lee/gpd-win-tricks under Resources
but i'm too tired atm to deal with it after fighting with the device for 2 days
okay i made them all install and work(i think) but i am missing a feature that i want and i see on other devices videos
battery charge limit
how do i get that?
idk how its handled on gpd devices but you could try
HHD if that supports it (i know it has it for legion go and such)
steamdeck has its own batterylimit service (incase you stumble across it and try to use it, it wont work)
is it controller by control tdp? because i am using decky tdp and in order for control tdp to work it wants me to remove decky tdp
HHD and deckytdp are not compatible with eachother
remove deckytdp if HHD tells you to as it means HHD handles the tdp for your device (and also integrates it into the tdp slider in the steam QAM)
heres the msg
and here is my message
you recommend doing it?
i'm hesitate since decky just works
hhd is what we recommend when it works on your device as it also integrates with the tdp slider in steam
ok
oh no.. no battery charge limit
check advanced settings in hhd
the eyeball button
it will make advanced options show
yeah i looked in there before commenting
then if you need the charge limit i guess switch back to deckytdp and just not use hhds tdp control, it might come in the future for hhd though 🤔
decky does not has it

i think i'm gonna keep to the new control since its integrated flawlessly with hhd
but yeah i'd love a support for charge limit for battery, where can i request that feature?

apprently thats a feature that gpd themselves don't support so i don't see it coming out from a software side if the hardware has no support
