Would this be too “formal” ?
Hi, I would like to wear those loafers with that outfit and pretty much most of my outfits, I wear a lot of polos! Is it casual enough? I don’t want to look like I’m going for an interview everytime I go out!

Ngl black shirts just make me think of waiters.
i think you're fine; to me zip polos are fairly casual items and nothing else reads as formal enough to change that
I find the pointier toe style loafers trend a little towards mor formal. Id personally go with something with a bit of a rounder toe to be more versatile. Although i dont think they would look bad
To me, the loafers look too dressy with the rest of the outfit
I believe Carmina's trademark pointed toebox & the box calf are what make them too dressy
What brand would you recommend that would be a bit rounder and with a similar quality as carnina?
blackstock & weber
dumb question, but have you had loafers before? If not, I would start at a much lower price point, like GH bass or docs. They can be a pain to size properly, especially for your first pair
Not a dumb question, actually you’re right it would be my first pair that’s why I wanted to get maybe only 1 or 2 pair to have long term, you think GH bass would be good ?
You could also check out Alden, Grant Stone, Rancourt & Meermin... they have more rounded toes
I would also avoid box calf... it's usually the go-to leather for a formal or dressy look
If you're going all black and want a bit of sleezy flair, carmina makes a killer black leather bit loafer
Try the TLB mallorca Kiowa loafers, great pricepoint
I will probably get those from GH Bass, what’s your guys thoughts?

If it’s not a button down then this doesn’t really make sense to me. A black polo or tee shirt probably won’t scream waiter.
But yeah loafers would be fine with this outfit. They’re easy to dress down.
Tue commando sole forces these to lean a bit more casual, you'd he hard pressed to dress these up with a tie for example, but if that's not a possible use case then these should work great!
