Styling Beige Crewneck for College

Hi, looking for advice on what pants would work best with this beige crewneck (image attached), especially for college/university settings and occasionally for church. Suggestions on what type of pants, as well as colors, cuts, and styles? • Budget: Up to $220 per pair. • Location: Based in NYC but prefer to purchase online. • Size: I’m 5’11.5”, 165 lbs, and usually wear a 32–33 inch waist.

most standard pant colors (white/off-white, brown, navy, olive, green, charcoal, print, dark red) will go with a beige sweater most types of pants will work as well - jeans, chinos, cargos, fatigues, etc. the "best" is what you'll feel comfortable wearing at school or church there's lot of relevant brands and its worth checking #brands and #waywt to see what exists, but the "easy" answer is a pair of chinos - jack donnelly, casatlantic, bronson.mfg and vintage polo ralph lauren (andrew or philip on ebay) come to mind

What about cut? Should I go for slim straight cuts?

For example. What about olive jeans like these?

you should go for whatever cut of pant you like the best i personally would not wear those jeans with the sweater since they're clashing in style imo - the sweater is more rugged and traditional, the jeans are more modern and sleek

in a vacuum they make sense, but it's not a substitute for trying the items on together and seeing what comes iirc most of the places i listed have free returns so you can always try the two on and see how they look

Ok sounds good appreciate it. I guess I’d have to go shopping in Manhattan but I find that intimidating to be honest. I never really went clothing shopping other than purchased online

i usually shop in a brick and mortar to try on/figure out sizing, then try to find it online for less cuts down the amount of time I'm in store and makes it easier to talk to salespeople
