valorant having issues with booting
about 90% of the time when i load into valorant, what happens is the menu is really unresponsive and runs at like 2fps. I know it probably isn't a specs issue as the other 10% of the time I run valorant just fine. Its driving me crazy and I don't know why this happens.

processor/ram usage?
background applications and stuff rrunning maybe?
i have 1 tab open and the CPU is at 30% and the RAM is at 70%
it could also be unstable internet, i get same thing when i drop to 0.7 mbps
so im 90% sure its not that
okay that might be an issue
i dont have ethernet
so even though i have gigabit internet sometimes my internet kills itself and the speed goes down really low
you really shouldnt need ethernet to run it at an acceptabe fps, try to conenct it anyway and see if it helps
my computer has no ethernet port
or else i would
sit next to the wifi thingy š
i do
its like 2 meters away
i tested my internet its at 100 mbps lemme try booting in
try computer plugged in for charging?
it is
maybe overheating? but your device proably isnt overheating 90 percent of the time
update your driver as well
that is also plausible
that might help
i have a laptop
drivers i just updated not too long ago
doesnt seem to be an internet issue
dis happens with other games?
nope
i run every other game fine
What kinda laptop has no ethernet port :val_CatBigStare:

Is ur game on a hdd?
its on my D drive, but thats a SSD
unless im stupid
Open task manager

Show ss
yeah theyre both SSDs
funny thing i have 2 monitors, so when i go tab over to discord the game starts running fine š
perhaps power settings?
and when i go back it goes back to being 2fps
its on high performance already
decrease the graphics to minimim š
and hoep for the best
did that already
Solution
I would try reinstalling the game to ur C drive
sure, ill try that
time to reinstall a second time
probably gonna free up some stuff from my C drive so i have more space
ill try that and get back to yall
Just make sure it has atleast 30 gigs free at all times
yeah it has 90 right now
i put games on my D drive cuz i have like a TB of space there
Did u buy that ssd?
Cuz i am pretty sure a laptop wouldn't come with 2 ssds
yeah
How are the read and write speeds on it?
how do i test that
It is not an external ssd tho, is it?
no its in my computer
How much did u get it for?
