Fit check on a thrifted blazer

I’ve been looking to add a blazer to my closet for a year or and I have developed a list of what I’m looking for which basically amounts to a casual but preppy jacket: Navy, half lined (it’s hot where I live), patch pockets . I’m also fairly committed to getting this by the thrifting or vintage route and I’m not in any rush. I’ll probably wear it with fatigues or khaki-chinos and an OCBD. I found a jacket yesterday and while I can notice the features and details I’m still building up my eye for a good fit. I’m pretty sure it’s at least half canvassed by the pinch test, and by the union sticker (ACTWU) it is at least 30 years old. Other that I don’t have any details. I didn’t spend that much money so if it’s ~bad~ I’m happy to re-donate it, if it’s close I’ll probably get it tailored.

Fit looks okay, tho is that a collar gap? Also do you have a picture where you're a bit farther, preferably with your whole body being seen (there's an image passed around in here on how to take a fit pic but I dont have that) so I can judge the length.

sleeves look a little short imo; there might be extra fabric inside the cuff to let it out might be a little snug at the waist especially if you plan to wear a sweater or midlayer over an ocbd

I did check the sleeves and there is at least an inch of fabric in there. I’m currently having the sleeves of a tweed sport coat lengthened. I have long arms relative to everything else.

from a glance an extra inch in the sleeve is all that's needed imo i also have disproportionately long arms and drake's games blazer is basically a perfect fit for me (at $1200 MSRP i did not purchase it lol, but it's something to consider secondhand)

Thanks, I’ll probably keep this one for a bit and play with some fits. But I’ll probably keep my eye open for other options. @zeometer in another thread you mentioned that you jump at union labels. Do mind expanding on that. Any particular union you look for? Any particular type of clothes, workwear versus suit?

i generally look for them if/when i can't verify a manufacturer. there's not a 1-1 relationship between the particular union and am item's actual quality but knowing generally when something was made is helpful amalgamated clothing workers of america is the oldest iirc (1970s or before) and one i will take a second look at, along with ACTWU (1976-1995 or so) and later UNITE (after 1995). usually most helpful with tailoring or outerwear. given how clothing manufacturing changed and business were bought and sold in the 70s and 80s, it can be hard to identify a manufacturer or its affiliation by name. still worth factoring in tandem measurements, material choice, etc
