"File Does not Exist" Dedicated
Linux Dedicated Server. Just tyring to update the mods, but any time I attempt to make modifications to the installed mods now, I just get an error . I tried the classic, remove all the mods and reinstall them, but no dice.
failed to remove old mods: failed to delete mod directory: failed to delete path: file does not exist

I've since resolved whatever the issue was and smm is working, but yes the satisfactory server is on a Phobos AMP instance on a Ubuntu standard dedicated server.
The issue was the mods folder itself. Maybe the perms got screwed, maybe something got corrupted, deleting it entirely and then letting SMM install the mods fresh worked.
The only thing I'd done since last I had SMM install mods was attempt to update the mods....

You should shut down the dedicated server executable before trying to install mods on it.
The satisfactory server is not running
Ive managed to manually package and deploy the mods
It really should just be an option to allow the user to package the mods with SMM for manual deployment.
Are you using AMP to manage the dedicated server?

Hmm, interesting. The reason why that error happens is because one mod's directory is listed as existing, but when SMM tries to remove it AMP just says it doesn't exist. It's not the first weird AMP issue I've seen, I'll have to set up an AMP instance to see what's going on (last time I tried it, AMP itself just wouldn't work at all)
Since the server is linux, there's also the option of using sftp on the linux instance directly, instead of going through AMP's sftp impmementatiom
Yeah amps sftp is kind of trash. I avoid using it but for some reason I set up SMM to use it. Well amp as a whole is kind of trash. I only used it because I saw the hostinger "gaming" servers were running it, figured it must be good. It isn't. Since I'm on just a regular 8 core epic server, I'll end up eventually ripping amp out and just spinning up my own docker containers. Just haven't had the time.
Id bet it's an amp bug with sftp. Not sure why deleting the directory resolved it though.
My guess is that it doesn't try to remove anything now, since there's no outdated / different profile mods to remove
True
I backed the directory up before nuking it, and looking at it, those directories that smm was being told weren't there were there.
