Question 11
I am pretty sure my approach is correct but from my method ans comes when I take given heat of combustion and heat of formation of c2h2, CO2 and h2o with signs opposite of given. Can I do that??

Heat of combustion is negative.
Heat of formation - that can have any sign. Please don’t change given sign
This is a bad question लोल.
But yea. Changing sign of combustion makes sense cos that is always negative
For reference, here is the question

The heat of combustion of acetylene is 312 Kcal . If heat of formation of
CO_(2) & H_(2)O
are -94 & ... is 93 Kcal . Calculate (DeltaH_(C=C))/(6)
so yea, dont use this book for questions xD
fiitjee module cant help it 🤡
but heat of formation of co2 and h2o is bound to be -ve since both are very stable compounds so ig its best to use them with -ve signs
there are a lot of misprints in it
Na this logic is risky
Data is data
but fir ans nahi aayega from my method
Bad module :p
As you can see from the q I sent it is there in the data
fr
yeah so its best to use with logical signs then
na question me diya hoga
i am serious, this is the issue with the module, what you did is goodf
the logical parts are used in C-H bond enthalpy being +ve, atomisation being +ve and combustion being -ve
formation you cant predict.
yeah was talking bout that only
i believe test mein toh shi aayega
anyways , thanx
