Very low Fps despite having decent enough specs
for the past few weeks My girlfriend has been having this issue , he game lags a lot makin it almost unplayable , her FPS at times drops below 5 .
she has a decent enough system (acer aspire 5 -intel i5 12th gen , Rtx 2050 , 16GB ram ) and she should be getting anywhere between 80-100fps with those specs.
Graphics settings have been set to the lowest and even playing on very low resolution doesnt help.
Have tried a bunch of diffrent things , updating drivers , preventing unnecessary windows processes from running , restarting before running the game
nothign seems to work.(sometimes after multiple restarts it works fine for few matches)
This lag has been causing another issue , Her voice becomes choppy/starts cracking to a point where she becomes inaudible , its not an mic issue as her mic works fine on discord or anywhere else .
changing system sound settings or ingame audio settings dont do anything.
Both of these issues combined make the gameplay experience really terrible for her
would be really appreciated if anyone could help fix this

yo, does this happen in other games?
Can you track if any of the parts are capping at 100% while in the game
some very basic things you can try is to use vsync to see if the game will cap, cap your in game fps to the refresh rate of the monitor
use high performance power plan
since it's a laptop, play the game while plugged in with the charger
if there is any performance software, remove any power saving/eco modes and use high performance
Set the game to High priority in Task Manager
You can also reinstall the game as a last step I guess
The mic choppiness might be caused by the lag so yeah
-haven't tested in other games
- vsync is on , powerplan is on performance , its always plugged
will try setting at high priority in task manager
It would be great if you can test another game, because it would be easier to sort out the issue
Generally, vsync is not a cool option but yeah if it stabilezes the game, sure
You are correct tho that the specs are fine
those specs are making me assume it's a gaming laptop
yea we'll test with other games of or maybe some sofrt of benchmarking to stress test to see if its some hardware issue
not a full fledged gaming laptop more of a budget option
mhmm
so
no.1
is it over heating
yes
thats prooobably the issue
anyway
go to power settings
and make sure its set tio
best performance and not balanced or power saving
its on that
okay can u go back tehre
click change plan settings
then changed advanced power settings
processor power managemnet > minimum processor state
but
overheating
is most likely the issue
yea just used HWI
and it shows P cores
throttling
below 100?
currently its set to 100
nvm yeah
then its overheating issue probably,
i saw people having fps issues but that was with amd and i think its fixed now
so i doubt its a val issue
mhm okay
will changing min processor state value have any effect
no 100 is the best
well.. performance wise best
