Help for finding a good-fit jacket
While travelling I lost my jacket and now all I have left is my overcoat. I need at least one jacket that isn't long.
I've been looking around for jacket types and one style I liked was a suede jacket. I want to use the jacket in the autumn and winter mostly, so down to -10 Celcius. I don't really vibe with puffer jackets. I liked Harrington jackets a bit, like the Baracuta G9. I'm open to other jacket types if anyone has any recommendations!
Another note is that I'm on the shorter side, 170 cm/5'7. From what I could measure, a well fitted jacket should be 55-60 cm on me, and most jackets I'm finding are longer than that. Any tips for finding shorter jackets?
I'm looking to thrift a jacket to get something good that can last a while. I'd appreciate brand/garment recommendations! Thanks!

What was the jacket you lost?
My only thing with harringtons is even if suede, for -10º might not be warm enough. I'm a baby though, when it's that cold I like being cozy and having my ass covered.
They can get pricey, but something like a heavy wool Filson jacket could work too.
It was a Barney's Original faux suede jacket, black. I liked the texture of it.
Those Filson jackets seem nice but I'm seeing theyre like 300$+ used, which is a bit too much for me..
You could consider a storm rider denim jacket with wool/poly lining. Those have cropped torsos
Echoing what @ler said, not sure a Harrington jacket will be warm enough for -10C. I'm not as familiar with the full range of Harrington jackets, so there may be some good lined/insulated ones, but I know part of the appeal of Harrington jackets is usually their slimmer cut...
But based on your comment about Filson's prices, finding a Harrington from a reputable brand, let alone a suede one, for <$250 will be tough. If you're fine going with a random Amazon brand, then go for it.
My rec would be to look at sherpa lined trucker jackets. You can usually find them in shorter cuts, they'll definitely keep you warm, and you'll have some decent options in a lower price range. They're definitely less sleek, more heritage-y than Harrington's, but it keeps you out of puffy jacket territory.
Maybe I'm too optimistic about -10C hehe. One fit for Autumn weather, down to 0C, is more reasonable. I just need a short jacket to alternate with my coat.
I did find a G9 Baracuta almost unused for 95$. I didn't pull the trigger because it would be too long on me though.. That's my main issue I'm finding with jackets. Seems my only strategy is to buy a cropped jacket, and hope it will sit normal on me..
Can I ask for brand recommendations for any kinds of autumn jackets? The Filson prices are the max budget, and then I'll check if I can find them cheaper 2nd hand.
