Issue when running dedicated server with mods
Hey! I'M trying to run a server with mods, which does not work currently, it may be because there is some that only does client stuff. could we figure that out?
all the mods we want to use are here.

Been trying for an hour or two, not the best with satisfactory.

Follow this flowchart to troubleshoot issues caused by mods (crashes, unexpected behavior, etc.). More information can be found on the docs: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#_how_can_i_troubleshoot_crash_issues
thanks
when you say "does not work" what do you mean? Does it crash? Do you get disconnected?

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels!
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs
well client starts, dedicated cant create a world.
I know it is probably because of client sided mods on server side.
well cant do this as im using ficsit-cli on server
Ok, go into
<your server install directory>/saved/logs
and send the .log file in thereHere it is
huh it just... stops
was the server currently in the process of starting when you grabbed this?
uh maybe at the end, i get the newest one.
looks like the server has started
yes
with many errors
does it work?
lemme try to make a world.
Well no
lemme get the logs
here
should have the world error
Just gets stuck at a bind blueprint?
Been trying for hours now.
Have no idea
@sjhoward I'm sorry for the ping, but i've been trying for ours, we even removed some mods to see if they did it but no workie.
No worries, I had to go to dinner
there's still no crash in that log
does it still crash if you turn all mods off?
I fixed it thankyou!
what was the fix?
Solution
it was an issue with being on linux, some mods just dont like it
apparently
so i switched to windows and works fine.
Ah, that's interesting! I know some don't provide linux server builds but I wasn't aware of some that did which caused problems
Ye apparently one of the mods fcked up the game itself, and the game after that wasnt even able to start
it'd be great if we could narrow that down more but I can understand if you're done with debugging for now!
Well, modlist is up there those are the ones that could do it, not sure which ones actually did it.
