hey there! jumping in on this thread as im also seeing timeouts for hyperdrive requests originating from japan
If you have configs that need to be placed into apacmind expanding on the implications of this? is it just a patch that would be applied to our hyperdrive binding, leaving other regions unaffected? or something else? happy to switch to a new thread if y'all would prefer that process-wise(:
The workaround involves applying an override that places the connection pool for a given Hyperdrive wherever we want it. It's only going to help if your origin DB is in the APAC region.
The systemic fix for this should help the scenario of users in APAC and origins elsewhere, which is harder to solve for in the short term.

ah! gotcha. i misunderstood the issue being mentioned & mistakenly pattern matched it to some timeouts i was seeing on my end in the region.
i'll continue rolling forward with it to get more data on some higher throughput endpoints. will write ya if i continue to see the issue 🫡
