Opinion on new purchases

Hey! I will soon be joining my first corporate role and hence wanted to make some purchases online. I am wanted to advice and opinion on what I plan to wear. I am looking to put up a formal shirt with chinos and plain white sneakers and have short listed the following. Would this look good, given that I am thinly built. I am planning on shirts like image 1 and 2 alongside chinos in image 3 and 4. I wanted advice on the color combination and if these actually go well. Additionally, would dress pants make more sense or the chinos given that I plan to dress them alongside sneakers. Help on this would be highly appreciated!

Or would I be better off replacing the chinos with some pants like this. Both of these are made of polyester blend while the chinos are a blend of cotton, while being priced the same.

imo the color combinations are fine and, assuming you work in an environment where there's no problem with wearing white sneakers, the chinos would also work the choice of material is your personal preference - poly blend can wrinkle less but also may feel weird on the skin especially in hot weather. lastly there's no way to know how they will look on you without actually seeing the clothes on your body BUT clothes looking "good" is a matter of personal preference and the most important preference is your own.

As someone who basically had poly blends for most of his professional career because he didn't know any better and recently shifted, I will say it is SO much more comfortable now that I've shifted to cotton and wool exclusively

At the work place I am going, business casual is the norm, so from what I have heard people come in with polos, jeans, and button downs. Nonetheless, I wish to keep my options open in case I switch up after the internship. Additionally, thanks for your advice! Much appreciated 👍👍. Lastly, I wanted to ask if plain white leather sneakers would look good under the two formal pants? Just as to keep options open for non office days. I also have oxford leather shoes, but those would be useless in winters ig

White sneakers are pretty flexible. Obviously informal but if the setting is cool with jeans I'm sure white sneakers are perfectly acceptable Not sure I understand why oxfords would be useless in winter but sneakers wouldn't?

Thanks for the help! 😊. Yes I think white sneakers would also go bust in winter. Lastly how could I layer the shirt for winter? Like sweater or 3/4 quarter zip. Also do you have any suggestions for the colors?

Others can chime in as I'm very new to all of this myself, but for a first professional gig (I'm assuming you are in college or something) keep it simple. Look up "basic bastard" capsule wardrobes for ideas, but basically just get some sweaters, quarter zips, etc in neutral solid colors. Tan/khaki, olive, navy, grey are all good choices and can largely be mixed and matched without being an eyesore.

yeah this is one of the use cases where the basic bastard would be helpful (it's linked in #fashion-guides ) you can also check #waywt or this album https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1117803378521673768/1240355583538761901 as a decent number of people work in business casual environments and post their fits; there's no crime in copying someone else's idea

If people are wearing jeans to your office, you have lots of options. Cotton chinos generally look better than polyester slacks. For layering, you could do a crewneck sweater, cardigan, or maybe even a fleece jacket. I have not seen a corporate style quarter zip that looks good. For shoes, I'm with Steve - not getting why white sneakers would be better than your dress shoes in winter. Plain white sneakers are also not formal by any means, so if they are allowed in your office, I would try for a slightly more interesting sneaker. That is up to you though, and if you like white sneakers and your office allows them go for it!
