GameCube controller support in windows games
Anyone have any experience trying to get the native GameCube controller support in Rivals of Aether and Rivals of Aether II working? I’m interested in seeing if it would be feasible to get these working properly out of the box so that bazzite can be used to run setups. Rivals 1 is calibrated for the PC mode mayflash adapter, and interprets generic controller input as GameCube controller input, and rivals 2 relies on direct usb access to a Wii U adapter like dolphin does. Rivals 1 used to work, but gets mangled by xinput translation now. Both games switch their button prompts to GameCube button prompts if their native support is working, and it is not an option to use a translation layer to some other controller type due to calibration quirks
