Hi @SirDigby ,
happy new year!
Thanks for all the mods you have been creating and the work that has been flown into them. Withouth infinite nudge and infinite zoop I would be going to die!!
A friend and I have been running into the issue shown here lately, too. Could you have a look at this? Tried already checking the code and finding the issue myself but it's hard to get into this without knowing anything about Satisfactory Modding. 😕
I have no issues on latest version, make sure you’re updated
Hi,
we use the latest versions available via SMM. Are you also the client in a multiplayer environment (no dedicated server)? We have trouble most of the time. No issues for the host though.
I've never been able to reproduce this issue. Could you share the other mods you are using or your mod profile?
I’m host but my brother also doesn’t have issues
Both through steam win 10
Hi and sorry for the late response, saw yours just a moment ago.
Sure! We see this effect quite often but not always. We also tried troubleshooting it but we didn't find any similarities during the errors yet. Sending you my other mods.
The only thing which I can confirm is that we didn't see the effect when Infinite Zoop was disabled and that this only occurs on a client during multiplayer. But also not always. In some period it's fine but when it starts it stays for a while. The host is fine all the time.
Platform for us both is Epic, also on Win10.
And it can happen when you build 1x10 or 10x10 or anything in between. We also see strange visual effects when building rails but this always leads to a correct result. Only the animation points to a wrong target and the rail is ... curvy sometimes.
If you give me some hints for troubleshooting I'll be happy to collect some more information / logs for you.
I tried with enree with only infinite zoop as a mod and can confirm this was still happening
This was a problem forever ago but I haven't been able to reproduce it in a couple of years
any way I can help you reproduce it?
No idea :sadalpaca:
Hey SirDigby,
we recreated this in a multiplayer session very well a moment ago
I can join a game of yours as client to show you what I see
this is what it looks like from the host's perspective
he was trying to do a 3x1 here
Does it change whether you are trying to use the world grid or not?
we've only tried the world grid
actually no, we've tried both
and it still happens
Here's a side by side with what he sees and what I see
I as client this time
And you're both sure you're on the very latest version?
Yes
yep
1.8.18
Dang, ok. I'll try and mess around with it again
I wonder if it's something to do with the hologram turning 45 degrees
I think so but there may be two different problems:
1) Whenever you build a square instead of a row the initial platform may have been rotated by 45° and you (client) don't see it. The result is then that you always build a rhombus / a 45°-turned square/rectangle.
2) For whatever reason the direction of building is also rotated. This is when you build your row into a wrong direction.
3) is the comination of both. You're building a square instead of a row and it's heading into the wrong direction.
Does it always fail like this or are there cases where it works as intended?
there are cases where it works as intended, but I can't tell if it's doing double wrongs making a right or if it's working as intended
I may be on later today. If you need some troubleshooting session, logs, whatever, please let me know!
Are you using Mouse Scroll to zoop?
No. I tested it though and had the impression that this slightly improved the success rate.
