TopDownView isn't available on dedicated servers, and your current profile is also assigned to a server, so it can't be installed

hit manage servers and delete whatevers in there, then because SMM has detected this:
{

No, manage servers in SMM

it'll auto-detect when you have the dedicated server installed through steam, which is what must have happened
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
wut if you click the drop down by Select Game Installation at the top left is there anything else in it?
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
yep there's the server maybe you can't remove autodetected ones - you either need to uninstall the dedicated server or turn mods off on it if you installed it accidentally, you might as well uninstall it - unless anyone else uses your PC for gaming & might have installed it?

sorry, I don't understand what you mean
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
what do you mean by "the normal one"?
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
ok, so you've turned mods off on the client too, apparently

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels! If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs

can you talk me through exactly what you did? you certainly don't need to worry about having lost your modlist, because if we get desperate it's in the first debug zip you sent

2 days ago I played it with everything working and yesterday after I started up steam the game updated and thats when I started getting the errors
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
Yes, there's been a game update since then so some mods have broken
πŸ€π•―π–šπ–’π–‡π–‘π–Šπ–‰π–”π–—π–ŠπŸ§™πŸ»
after the update I tryed updating the updated mods and every one I try gives me the error or the manager crashes with no error
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
ok, but what have you done since we started talking?
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
I thought because you sent a new screenshot something had changed Right, so back to the original problem: you have a dedicated server installed. 1. Are you aware of that? 2. Do you want it?
πŸ€π•―π–šπ–’π–‡π–‘π–Šπ–‰π–”π–—π–ŠπŸ§™πŸ»
under select game is 2 options one has all my mods and gives the update error and the other loads no mods
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
the other is a dedicated server that's why the icon is different
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
well, one is still being detected - open steam and type satisfactory in the search bar
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
ok, open up e:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SatisfactoryDedicatedServer (or just common, then check if that folder exists)
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
if SatisfactoryDedicatedServer exists, it was never properly uninstalled
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
deleting the folder and rebooting SMM will probablyℒ️ work
sjhoward
sjhowardβ€’2w ago
fingers crossed that'll do it - I've got to go now! please let me know if it's sorted though πŸ™‚
