Getting more creative with clothes you have

I feel like for the past while my fits have kinda gone in a cycle where I get a new thing, use it for a few fits. Runout of ideas and then move onto the next thing. And so far that's kinda worked because I've been expanding my wardrobe and getting new stuff. But I'm wondering if there anything you guys do to intentionally be more creative with what you already have, other than the obvious look at inspo and just wait till ideas for fits come to you. I think some of this comes from me feeling like I'm just putting on some already cool pieces, instead of styling things in ways that make them particularly interesting.

I think one way I start is by reexamining things in my wardrobe and trying to see something in them I haven’t, then I just pull on that thread and see how I can emphasize that If I always saw something as a “menswear” piece maybe I can look at it again and see if there’s some streetwear element in it that I can pull out It helps that I’m happy to dress in a lot of different styles so that gives me more directions to go

it can help to look at clothes through the lens of what can they do and then why you shouldn't do it especially when it comes to styling, you can open up a lot of doors by ignoring the usual signifiers - stuff like charlie's pants as shirt or my more manic fits from fit battle or this come to mind https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1232729646060011530 you can also take the "creativity comes from constraints" approach - pick a small number of items to wear for a week/two weeks/undetermined amount of time and see how you're able to fare without lapsing into repeats
