I am using the displayport cable that came with my monitor and it works just fine in win11
IIRC nvidia doesnt support hdr on linux yet
ok thx for the reply
they disabled it as of plasma 6.2 because of an sddm bug
it needs
KWIN_DRM_ALLOW_NVIDIA_COLORSPACE=1
in /etc/environment to re-enable it, but ymmv as to how well it worksprobably better to add it to a file in .config/environment.d/
how do i find ./config?
hope your home folder and press CTRL+H to show hidden files and folders
so far i've managed to enable hdr in display settings but none of my games will let me enable it
i found ./config but no environment
make the folder? 🤷
created the folder and a txt file and added KWIN_DRM_ALLOW_NVIDIA_COLORSPACE=1 to it, restarted and it still doesn't work ingame
check the display settings in system settings
but as matt said YMMV
i got hdr enabled in system settings
idk anything past that as i dont use hdr (also dont use nvidia gpu)
@matt_schwartz would know more i think if anything
alright thx
you still need Gamescope which mostly doesn’t work, so unless you want a more vivid desktop that’s about as good as you’re gonna get right now
ok thank both of you anyways
