Troubles with suspend on f41
Hey!
Sometimes after waking up from suspend my display wouldn't turn on.
Even SDDM wasn't showing.
I've tested it with disabled BT and WiFI, same behavior
I've run
ujust logs-last-boot
output in txt below. Can't see any suspicious message.
Which direction should I investigate?12 Replies
Btw, I've deleted all messages before suspend
Weird, seems like I don't have suspend service on systemctl list
I can confirm this behavior (7950x3d, x670 mobo, 7900xtx) is a regression. Have you found a root cause?
@Kyle Gospo Can I call you? Seems like not Nvidia issue (which is new, lol)
I would glad to give logs with happy-way case. but I don't get it yet.
This seems to be an upstream issue https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/1gj29ub/is_anyone_having_this_suspendwake_up_problem_as/
I'm unconvinced it's the upstream systemd issue mentioned in that thread.
What Network/Bluetooth cards are y'all running ?
I believe it's Intel AX200
Nope, MT7922A22M
But turning off my bluetooth didn't work tho
Anyway, seems like the Bazzite team won't be able to fix it due to it's upstram issue.
Guess wil close this thread
Solution
Upstream issue
feel free to leave open until it's fixed upstream
good for tracking
Oh btw.
Sorry for bothering. Didn't even think about to researching this problem for Fedora or Silverblue, lol.
Still have Windows mindset, I guess
I packaged this script with nfpm https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3762978 to install under /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep to temporarily mitigate the issue, works great for me
Not sure if there’s a more elegant way to do this as I think system-sleep won’t look under /etc/
