Japanese Brand Recommendations
I bought a ton of Uniqlo and my closet is full of them. Mostly essentials, Oxfords, Jeans, Chinos, Tshirts. I was wondering what other amazing Japanese brand I can branch out from here on out?
Appreciate the suggestions in advance.
I mostly wear trucker jacket, paired with jeans and a redwing boot.

Lots - depends on your budget and what kind of style you’re looking for
paring down the list a fair bit to cut out less relevant stuff:
auralee, kaptain sunshine, oni denim, visvim, engineered garments, kamakura shirts
What do you like about Uniqlo?
The thing I like about Uniqlo is the minimalist aesthetic and the price point you get with the quality, they're getting pretty expensive now compared to before unfortunately.
And the ease of buying since they're everywhere here in bay area.
Alr so you don’t want Japanese brands hahaha you want minimalist brands
hmm I guess so, 😅 and mostly I got good experience buying Japanese products.
If you are dead set on Japanese brands I am afraid you will be in for a shock if you consider Uniqlo expensive
Muji does come to mind, though like Uniqlo nothing is actually made in Japan
I see, I probably will be sticking to Uniqlo 😂 from here on out I think its only going to be more expensive.
seconding muji if you like uniqlo
If you have the budget for it, I highly recommend Japanese denim brands like Samurai, Studio d’Artisan, Pure Blue Japan, etc. The denim these companies make blows everything else out of the water.
Lovely denim, wish they had some stores nearby where I can try them on to see how they feel 😅 thanks for the recs!
There is a self edge in the bay area. But yeah, at the Uniqlo price point I would stick with Uniqlo.
agree with uniqlo for the price points, but you can also check out standard and strange, and brogue shop in the bay area for a couple more japanese brands
price point of these other japanese brands people are talking about is going to be like $200-500 depending on what you're buying
