I deleted my games from steam but I still have no free space on my drive
How do I free up room, I cannot find the files anywhere including the trash

it was btrfs, had to delete subvolumes usig btrfs assistant
game was probably installed in /home/username/.local/share/Steam/steamapps
or whatever the path is and you had snapshots of it.
its one of the reasons why we have the auto snapshots disabled by default since we dont have a good way of stopping the snapshots from including games
one way is to make the steam folder into a subvolume, which will be problematic to do on the fly since it already has files and moving all the games is going to take some time and people are impatient.
Is there any way to disable the BTRFS snapshots from happening? It would be nice to not have to constantly manage them on a handheld device
I have no experience wrestling with btrfs and the path naming seems to hate being used as cli arguments (thank the kind souls that made the GUI manager)
Open btrfs assistant and turn off the services you might have turned on in the settings.
Boot, timeline, etc
Same tab where you configure the root config, at the bottom
Thank you much!
