QEMU/KVM on Bazzite?

The new season of fortnite came out and I was wanting to play it, but fortnite doesnt work with wine. I've done KVM and QEMU before, but I don't know how I can do VM stuff without changing rpm-ostree and stuff like that, so it doesn't take a ton of time to update my system. (Please ping me when I get an answer, thanks!)

Does waydroid work well with nvidia? I've tried it on my GPU in the past, and it was laggy (back when ROL was broken due to sober not existing) while trying to play roblox.

I haven't finished installing the ujust setup-virtualisation tools yet, but once I'm done setting it up, do I plug one of my monitors into the iGPU or the discrete card?

you should plug your monitor w your iGPU the dGPU is gonna be passed through to the virtual machine whenever you are running it

no you dont use quickpassthrough with setup-virtualization, you use only setup-virtualization quickpassthrough is only for non atomic and non immutable systems

last time i did this on another distro, i needed to patch the vgabios from my gpu, do I still need to do this here or is it not necessary?
HikariKnight
HikariKnight•4mo ago
depends on the gpu if you still got the same gpu as last time then yes i dont need to patch my 2 gpus for this 1 amd and 1 nvidia although i was super lucky with my amd one being one out of like 2 that does not have passthrough issues :clueless:
