eBay thrifted suit fit questions
Hi yall, I got this suit from eBay but I forgot to look at the pants measurement, and it came out way shorter than I thought it would be. I have two questions:
1. The jacket looks nice and fits on me and I doubt if the original owner is much shorter than I am ( I’m 5’7), is this kind of short pants look some specific style? I personally usually like it a bit longer, but wouldn’t mind if it’s bit shorter if it’s a deliberate and looks not bad. (The pants were originally rolled up more so it was even shorter, as you might see the crease from the photo near the end of the pants.)
2. Second question has to do with the jacket fit - I thought it looked fine, but the jacket is obviously bespoke for someone else. I want to ask for advice on whether the jacket actually fits well, if it’s a bit too tight or weird somewhere? The shoulder seems to extend a bit further from my shoulders but I don’t normally wear padded jackets so I’m not sure if that’s normal.

Shoulders look alright to me, the padding is a bit exaggerated so they do look a little more defined but that’s not neccessarily a bad thing
pants do look a bit short. Any fabric inside that they could let out for you?
If it were me I’d want to get a little more room at the waist, looks super snug, and yeah I’d try to get the pants let out if possible

Pants length is unfortunate. Maybe there's a style where shorter pants work, but to me it clashes with the formality of the fabric/jacket.
Jacket looks great tho.
I think there’s some, I’m going to a tailor to ask them what they can do and honestly I usually prefer it to be less tight as well for more comfort
Shoulders are right for padded shoulders imo btw looks good there

Typically there’s fabric left in the back seam which is very easy to let out
Yeah I wore it for 2 days and I do think I need to lengthen the pants by a bit to be at ease lol or unless I wear black boots to hide the fact it’s so short
Probably letting out the waist is the simplest adjustment one could make on a suit jacket
