problem with satisfactory mod manager
hello, I have a problem with the application, when I launch the app, everything works fine until this message arrives a few seconds later and makes the application crash, I don't know at all why this makes me That, I tried to look on forums, but no one talks about it for this application,

You can properly clean webview2 using https://github.com/ShadowWhisperer/Remove-MS-Edge/raw/refs/heads/main/Remove-EdgeWeb.exe, then reinstall webview using the Evergreen Bootstrapper from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?form=MA13LH#download
the problem is that I use a modified windows "atlas os" and I cannot reinstall webview, I don't know if there is a way to reinstall it by force
The bot message says how to wipe webview and then install it new
Unless atlas os removes something that webview depends on, this should work
the problem is that I manage to execute the "Remove-EdgeWeb.exe", but when I want to execute "MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe" nothing happens and even while waiting, it doesn't work at all
It's maybe an atlas os problem which blocks functionality, but it's irreversible, I can't go back ðŸ˜
Isn't there another way to get around this problem? and not use this webview?
Not at the moment, SMM uses webview instead of electron for a smaller size (and to not be written in javascript, but go instead). But I am looking into bundling webview with SMM, though that is +500MB (which is actually more than electron)
https://github.com/Atlas-OS/Atlas/blob/a5e9bb3527fbecc3fda6359984fe457d93700a23/src/playbook/Executables/AtlasModules/Scripts/ScriptWrappers/RemoveEdge.ps1#L5
Atlas's remove edge script does have an option to install webview
But all it seems to be doing is still just using the evergreen bootstrapper, just ran with
/silent /install
What happens if you try the Evergreen Standalone one?nothing
the mouse load , and nothing after
That's the bootstrapper, not the standalone one though
sorry if I'm a bit stupid 😉
I tried to run it with PS /silent, it doesn't do anything for me
You need to open powershell in the folder that has the .exe you're trying to run, or paste the full executable path, not just the name
I can't select anything
You should also run it with both
/silent /install
at once
If you press 4 on your keyboard it doesn't do anything?nope
juste a refresh page i think
but nothing
just *
i found ! FINALLY
thank you very much for helping me, you are great! 😉
