Repested restart prompt
Every time I get on my PC and open riot client I'm prompted with a message saying "Your game requires a system restart to play. Please restart your computer. If thisd issue continues, reach out to our player support team." I've tried going to the website but nothing mentions anything about this prompt. Its run fine everyday until 2 days ago and I still cant find a solution.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIGURE THIS OUT
have you tried reinstalling and then rebooting?
I assume you have restarted your pc.
Had this same issue when first installing
if it doesnt work try reinstalling riot client aswell.
im having the same issue, tried reinstalling vanguard, disabling antivirus and updating drivers
the issue is only for valorant, league works but once i try to update valorant it breaks vanguard for league also
i've done everything i possible could with no luck lol i've just given up for the night i can not be bothered
and if you remove everything Valorant related from the pc. Safeboot. Reinstall Riot games, Reboot again. Then install Valorant. SafeReboot again and then launch Riot Client as Administrator?
So Riot Games, Vanguard, etc
also has this issue just randomly occured? From the story it seems like youve been playing before and now it just randomly popped up
for me the issue started today
It just gives the error?
wasn't there an update today? i think it caused it
dumb question mayb, tried thru the epic games?
updates until 16% and gives this
epic games doesnt send you thru the riot client
it just boots valorant
in my experience
huh
i had this issue many times but it always resolved by uninstalling vanguard and rebooting but this time its not resolving
and the weird thing is, i can go play league until i try to update valorant
then i need to reinstall vanguard again to play league
have you tried uninstalling valorant completely instead of updating?
nope
ill try that
maybe some file is missing to begin with. 1 it needs to replace.
but since it might not find that file it just gives an error. (why it wouldnt place instead of replace then idk)
wdym?
When updating it changes files within the directory
maybe something is corrupted
can happen
okay
ill try uninstalling valorant
reason why alot of launchers have this thing called "Verify integrity of game files"
it goes over all the files and checks if something is missing, if so it installs it
makes sense
wich alot of the times helps misboots on games
do you know if there was an update today?
not to my knowledge
played whole day and just booted couple hours ago to play some matches
weird
lemme know if this worked or not
yeah
if its not working i honestly wouldnt know what the cause would be. Idk if you maybe have a second drive you could try on to detach it from the original "faulty installment"
if it is related to corrupt files, would it make sense for vanguard to break when i try to launch / update valorant
for league as well
could be
try removing venguard as well before installing valorant
let it install when valorant launches
yeah i did that
didnt work
problem resolved by doing some windows updates
@eery @Masonn
worth trying out
ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, nothing seems to work
I didnt try reinstalling vanguard
(reinstalling vangurard works
i have experience like these, but after restart it fixed at all..
